The interior is a still a work in progress. I had the seats recovered a little over 2 years ago, and new carpet put in at the same time. The carpet is a light beige, and seats were covered in a light beige and a dark brown patterned fabric. I will use the same fabric when I do the door panels.
I haven't done the door panels yet because I was trying to figure out if speakers were going to be in the doors or not. I think I have decided on putting front speakers in some custom kick panels that I will build myself. I have read about building them from fiberglass and it doesn't seem to hard.
As for the stereo, I have a pretty trick idea in mind to keep the dash looking original. I am still working out the finer details, but I will be sure to share when I get it done. It will be a cassette head unit with a CD changer in the glove box (hopefully). To complement the front speakers, I plan on adding a small subwoofer in the rear.
Finally, I'd like to install air conditioning. This is not essential, but it is a nice luxury item. In Southern California, it gets hot enough that when the car is not rolling along at a steady pace (like in traffic or at the cruise nights) it can be a tad uncomfortable. So, an aftermarket unit will eventually make its way into the car, I think.
